The very first mail sent on signup is sent.

Delayed mails are not sent

There is no logs/cron_info.txt - which maybe indicates cronjobs are not running...

Only: logs/cron_info.txt & subscribe-unsubscribe.log & mysqli-errors.log

Cronjobs are set up running every hour

Had 2 responders earlier that worked.

Sending smtp test mail works

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Haven't heard from my hosting yet, but it looks liek they can't handle https for CRON jobs. Only http.

I tried to run all 3 jobs manually (http as well as https) but no new logfiles.

I made a testjob that creates a txt file and it works manually only and https only. So Im pretty sure myu hosting can't handle https. Nevertheless the files should at least be created when running them manually - which they don't (no logfiles and no sent mails), so something else is at play also.

I tried to run the jobs from cron-job.org but they still do not send mails or create a log file. My test job works though which is just a simple php script to create an empty file.

I also tried easycron.com but still no mails and no logs except for imap and subscribe.

I tried running the jobs from a browser - dunno if that would work but my simple test.php did work.

Attributes for the logs dir is 777

I got an error in mysqli-errors.log a few days ago but I do not use that domain for the responder atm:

Enabled: 13 February 2020 @ 16:29:18
Code: 2002
Error: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known
File: /home/www/makeitcount.dk/responder/control/classes/class.db.php
Line: 456

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

These cron jobs are probably running all over the world so I'm sure they are all right.

I just checked all my installations. I have reinstalled it numerous times now on different domains and I tested them all. I have 2 installations on subdomains and they work. I have 2 installations in a subdirectory and they do not work with cronjobs. Might be accidental though...

will try one more on a clean domain and see how it works.

Ok - installig on a domain and the cron jobs run. The logs are created and written. But NO mails are sent. Not even the signup mail. The imap log says there is a smtp auth error but I tripple checked the credentials.

I will focus on the smtp part to see if mails are getting lost AFTER the CRON job.

Well it is weird. I used several gmails to sign up with and did not receive any mails. I tried a number of smtp services but still nothing. Then the conspiracy theories began! So I tried another mail that is not a gmail and then I got mail!

In the gmail accounts I tried there is no trace what so ever of these mails. No notifications - no nothing...

I used sendgrid which I use in other setups and it works fine when I sign up from a website that use MailPoet with a gmail account...

I also tried forwarding the mails I got in my non gmail account to gmail. They never arrived in my gmail account...

I can send form one gmail account to another...

So Im totally spooked....

That's true!

There were 2 things both related to Gmail. For some obscure reason 4 gmail (and ONLY gmail) accounts on 2 different IP addresses did not receive mails. After setting up SendGrid I was able to track the mails and Sendgrid said that mails to Gmail were "Undelivered".

After tons of experimenting I suddenly got 2 of the gmail accounts to receive. It seems Gmails AI is more Artificial than Intelligent! Under Gmail/Accounts I setup "Send mail as" to connect to my ISP's SMTP in a vague hope to make Gmail accept or cooperate with this. It worked on my main Gmail account. Then I read in some Gmail help documents that if From Name or From email is empty Gmail fcks up and think it is spam so after setting these in the responders Campaigns/email Options the second gmail account also began receiving.

So if some one has problems with gmail signups and the Maian responder here is a few tips!

Also my site use Cloudflare which was a problem for my hosting company. That was the first reason why cron jobs wasn't executed.

I am revisiting my view on having Gmail as a reliable mail after this.

The Responder is simple and easy to work with. I have tried a lot of the and bought some on Envato and other places. But the Maian responder is by far the best!

Now I will go setup a campaign and send some mails.

Is there any way to redesign the confirmation mail? I would like very much to translate the message into my language. Especially the header: "NEWSLETTER - PLEASE CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL" &  Thank you for signing up etc..

I tried editing "email-verification.txt" - but no effect.

Pretty often the signup button (after Thank you for signing up msg) just rotates and says One Moment - as if it is waiting for something. It never really finishes and people might think "what's happening now".
