huge problem installing cart :(Posts in the Maian Cart forum by zoldos
zoldos 14-06-2021 03:08:24 Hi David! I decided to do a fresh install of Maian Cart while waiting for the new version. But I can't even get it installed. I get "an error has occurred" and a bunch of stuff shows up in the log folder. But here's the weird thing, after creating the DB, setting permissions, etc., when I run the install script, it renames "/control/functions.php" to ".fucntions.php" and makes it have 0 file size. No matter I do, it keeps doing this, even before I setup the DB and folder permissions, Very, very strange. Any ideas? |
zoldos 17-06-2021 19:36:44 I'm using PHP 7.3.27. It's the same exact server and settings when I ran Cart last time as far as I know.. Here's an except from fatal_errors.log: ---------------------------- And errors.log: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |
zoldos 18-06-2021 00:21:01 It did exist. But gets deleted, then a new file named ".functions.php" (with a leading .) with a 0 file size is then created in its place... |
zoldos 18-06-2021 00:38:54 I have no idea. The only thing I added was an Acronis Backup 30 day trial which has expired and no longer runs. It's strange because I was using Maian Cart just about a month or so ago and it worked fine... Weird!! |

zoldos 18-06-2021 02:29:55 Hmm.....same thing. One of the logs was complaining about mod_fcgid.c so I adjusted my web server settings with no affect. I am completely clueless. It is running on a sub-domain, and like I said, Maian Pal seem to work despite a curious formatting error in the Admin section where CSS seemed to break. lol |
zoldos 18-06-2021 03:51:09 CSS problem fixed after a proper re-install, so giving Maian Pal a try as it installed and seems to work perfectly. Thanks for the replies David! |
