A problem installingPosts in the Maian Weblog forum by magiccardpops

Hello David -

Any ideas why I get the following during installation?
"Database Error. Check software log for more details."
The log shows:
Auto Index is disabled for [/home/ . . . /mwblog/install/], access denied.

Even though instructions do not say to upload the htaccessCOPY file to .htaccess and upload it
it gives the same results whether I do the upload or not just in case this could be the issue.

Also, the instructions say:
"The following folders are required to have read/write permissions. On Linux 0777 or 0755 should be used:"
admin/backup/
content/_theme_default/cache/
logs/
However, I cannot find an "admin/backup" folder.

Thanks for your response,
- MagicCardPops

Whoops.
I changed define('DB_LOCALE', 'en_GB');
to define('DB_LOCALE', 'en_EN');
Of course, no such thing.
So now Successfully installed.

Sorry for the delay. Glad you got it sorted. And thanks for letting me know about the 'admin/backup/' message. That folder is removed now as the backup path is set in the settings.
