problems updating/saving Meta/SEO settings in Admin-Settings-GeneralPosts in the Maian Pal forum by zoldos

I've tried several times to add/update the Meta/SEO data in the admin general settings, but it won't "save".  Other settings that I change update, but the SEO settings won't.  Help!  Thanks!

Okay, I looked at the page source and the keywords are showing up. It just doesn't display them in the Admin area, a bit confusing.  Thanks!

I just added a bunch of keywords separated by a comma and a space.  like:

website, store, on-line

And I also filled out the Meta description with a simple sentence.  I did that and clicked "Update", and they disappear and when I come back to that setting, it doesn't show the saved values, despite the fact that it does appear to save them as they show up when I view page source.  However, I did notice that the Meta keywords I provided show up in the page source for Meta *Description* and then nothing shows for Meta Keywords sad

Yes, this seems to be an issue.

When you look at the Meta Tags either in the page source or a Meta Tag information tool you see that they appear to be reversed, like this:
<meta name="keywords" content="This is the Meta Description">
<meta name="description" content="These, are, meta, keywords">

And, it seems the Meta tag info you enter will remain as you tab from General, Date/Time, Meta/SEO, Options but will disappear once you leave that page.

Yes agreed, both description and keywords save (but aren't shown if you return to the setting), and are reversed in page source. smile
